Invoice Rex has been released!

There’s not much to be said, really 🙂 Finally, after a year of beta testing, Invoice Rex is now officially released and available on the App Store. For all Apple platforms (where it makes sense – macOS, iOS, iPadOS) with a single subscription. Free 14-day trial included.

  1. Had this been outright and not a subscription, I would have purchased. I get why developers have gone the subscription route, but people are drowning in them nowadays 🙁

    • Sorry to hear about this. This was really a hard decision to make, but the app this is replacing was maintained for 10 years without a paid upgrade and the audience for this is fairly limited which means that the development never paid itself. Also given the nature of this software, I thought subscription might be better as it’s meant for smaller businesses where this is a deductible expense and mainly you only pay for the period you use it – if you e.g. decide to go with another software, you don’t throw away money that you purchased the app for. I do *not* plan to make my other apps subscription-only, but it sort of made sense to me here.

      • Charlie, that’s totally fair. I’ve been using your apps for a long time now, appreciate your dedication and innovation, you are a master of your craft. I would love to buy into this app, but I have a free lifetime subscription to a popular web-based option for some work I did for them, so it’s hard to justify the commitment to (yet another) subscription… if I didn’t have that I probably would have folded and done it 🙂

Also, I just read through your blog post about the indie app business, it was fantastic. I’m in a different field but I’ve had a similar trajectory, so I related to the majority of it. Very cool story.
